BIO
In their 5th year as a group, these creative women have grown together - both personally and musically. Their show is nostalgic and fun with a mix of unique instrumentation such as ukulele, musical saw, and glockenspiel, as well as buttery three-part harmonies. The Salties have an old-school vibe with their catchy indie and pop rock tunes. The debut of their new album "Baby Blue" represents the sprouting of their Columbus roots into a sultry and endearing sound that is all their own.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT US
"These songs are simply gorgeous. Understated instrumentation is layered with three part close harmonies for a sound that is both assertive and fragile. With regard to song structure, these tunes were put together by people who not only get pop, but also get why pop is important."
-Ed Forman, Columbus Free Press
"Think harmonies of The Carter family mixed with in your face aspect of a killer rock group-The band is named after an ice cream flavor at Columbus ice cream shop Jeni's-But don't let that fool you- These girls will whup your ass with an array of instruments...and dreamy tight female vocals from Winters and Overdier!"
-Ryan Neely, Appalachian Jamwich Magazine
"The crew harmonizes on the 1960s-leaning, Shangri-Las-influenced “She’ll Be Coming for You,” the sweetness in the singers’ voices serving as a candy coating around the tune’s tart core."
-Andy Downing, The Columbus Alive
" The new line-up has hit the feel good part spot on."
-Paul Painter, The Woodlands Tavern
